The 2018 Mercedes-Maybach S650 sedan will follow in the footsteps of the S650 Cabriolet by getting an AMG-sourced V12 engine.

The German automaker has been adamant that AMG and Maybach are two separate sub-brands, which means we’ll never see a Maybach-AMG model. But that isn’t stopping Mercedes from equipping the Maybach vehicles with AMG engines, as is the case with the Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet that debuted last last year. Carscoops reports the sedan will receive the same 6.0-liter V12 engine sporting 621 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque.

Not much else is expected to change on the ultra-luxurious sedan for the 2018 model year and pricing for the North American market has not yet been announced.
