Is there anything scarier for car enthusiasts than the rise of the crossover?

Probably not! That’s why it’s wildly appropriate that BMW is celebrating All Hallows’ Eve this year with a spooky photo of its new X2 crossover.

BMW photographers spotted two pumpkin-headed figures at the wheel of the X2, which it’s referring to as a Sports Paranormal Activity Coupe this Halloween. Some of you might describe the X2 as frighteningly good-looking, but based on comments we’ve seen around the internet, we’re inclined to believe that most you find its face really quite terrifying. At least the Sunset Orange exterior color it’s shown in here is nice on the eyes.

The BMW X2 made its official debut last week. The North American version has yet to be shown, however European-spec X2s will be offered in Basic, M Sport, and M Sport X trim levels. A range of diesel and gas four-cylinder engines are on offer, with gas units paired to a seven-speed automatic and diesels paired to an eight-speed. For diesel models, xDrive all-wheel drive is standard, but we’re expecting the North American X2 to have standard all-wheel drive in all variants. Look for it to go on sale in March of next year. Pricing has yet to be announced.
