2019 BMW X4M to Make Over 455 HP From Turbo Inline Six
The 2019 BMW X4M has been spied undergoing cold weather testing, revealing portions of its exterior and other small details.
Like other BMW M models, the X4M will be signified by its quad-exit exhaust tips, revised front and rear fascias, larger wheels and drilled and vented rotors. The prototype shown in these photos is also sporting a subtle rear lip spoiler, along with a top-mounted rear hatch spoiler.

Under the hood of the X4M may be the rumored 3.0-liter S58 twin-turbocharged engine, which will be an evolution of the S55 engine found in the M3 and M4. Our intel suggests it will make over 455 hp in the X4M, which is fitting seeing as the Mercedes-AMG GLC63 makes 470 hp. BMW is also open to ‘Competition Pack’ versions of its SUVs, it once told AutoGuide.com, so a more powerful X4M could arrive as well, serving as an answer to the 503 hp GLC63 S.
Look for the BMW X4M to debut shortly, before going on sale later in the year as a 2019 model year vehicle. We may even see it at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show in March, so stay tuned.
