The 2019 Ram 1500 just debuted last month in Motown, but FCA wants to keep the momentum going because they’ve unveiled a Mopar-customized version of this all-new pickup at the Chicago Auto Show.

Starting with a Big Horn Sport 4×4 model dressed in bright Flame Red paint, they proceeded to add A TON of goodies, all of which will be available from the company’s Mopar division once this new Ram goes on sale.

The most dramatic change here has to do with the suspension. This truck’s been lifted by about two inches, plus it rolls on aggressive, 35-inch tires surrounding 18-inch, six-lug, beadlock-capable rims. All that should give it some SERIOUS capability.

Broad wheel flares help protect the body while off-roading; cast-aluminum running boards make ingress and egress just a little easier.

The truck’s five-foot-seven-inch bed is home to an adjustable Ram Rack, which slides fore and aft on rails. There’s also a Mopar bed step with an articulating arm that swings down when you need to climb up into that elevated cargo box.

As for performance, this truck features a special cold-air intake that feeds its 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with plenty of cool, fresh oxygen. It probably makes some great music as well, ditto for the Mopar performance cat-back exhaust system, which is made of stainless steel and punctuated with twin, five-inch tips.

Taking a look inside, there’s super-premium Katzkin leather and red embellishments sprinkled throughout. Brushed-aluminum sill trim adds a nice touch, while heavy-duty rubber floor mats provide plenty of protection against dirt, mud and other unwanted detritus.

More than 200 aftermarket parts and accessories will be offered by Chrysler’s Motor-Parts division for the 2019 Ram 1500. And this is just a glimpse of what’s going to be available.
