Intended to take Lamborghini production to new heights, the Urus SUV is slotted to be the best performer in its class, rivaling competitive the performance SUV market. 

You’ve already seen a topless Lamborghini Aventador, but it probably wasn’t what you expected. While the Aventador J isn’t likely to see production, that doesn’t mean its creator isn’t planning something of similar spirit. 

The Lamborghini Club of America recently held a meet, assembling the finest and largest collection of Lamborghini exotics that we’ve seen in quite some time.

Right and wrong aside, the thief who heisted Guy Fieri’s Lamborghini Gallardo deserves a sliver of credit — it’s not every day a punk rappels from a dealer ceiling to steal a car. Still, there’s no arguing with the fact that his arrest is a good thing. 

What you’re looking at right now is a Lamborghini Aventador J, only it’s got a twist. Unless you’ve had your eyes shut for the past couple months, pictures of the wicked Lambo have probably crossed your path, but this version has a roof and is a lot faster.

Lamborghini names its cars after famous fighting bulls, or at least that is what they used to do, as the latest name that the company has trademarked is Huracán.

Staggeringly expensive, one of only 20 Lamborghini Reventóns will be auctioned this summer in the U.K. with an expected selling price of at least €1 million.

Laden with power yet light with carbon fiber, the Lamborghini Urus debuted ahead of the Beijing Auto Show yesterday much to many people’s delight. 

Bragging an impressive 600 hp from an undisclosed engine, the company says its SUV concept will be priced less than the Gallardo and Aventador and aimed to sell around 3,000 units per year.

The Lamborghini Urus SUV Concept couldn’t remain a mystery for very long. Just a couple of days ago, photos of the exotic SUV leaked onto the Internet and we even got treated to a teaser video ahead of its 2012 Beijing Motor Show debut.

Timepiece manufacturer Blancpain will be offering up a 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP600 GT3 race car at the upcoming RM Auctions in Monaco on May 12th, 2012.

Built in mere weeks before the 2012 Geneva Auto Show, the Lamborghini Aventador J is nothing if not striking. 

With it’s chopped-off roof and tiny windscreens, it’s a hard car to forget. The 700-hp stunner is intimidating to stand next to, let alone drive at speed, yet that’s exactly what the company did in the promo video featured below.

Lamborghini Urus — remember the name. It’s the Italian supercar manufacturer’s second foray into the utility vehicle market and the object of much media attention leading up to its debut at the Beijing Auto Show next week.

Photos leaked onto the internet early today giving us the gory details about what sort of styling to expect from the newest fighting bull, but we’re still without verified specifications. It might make sense for the veritable V10 engine powering the 575-hp Gallardo to find a new home as the Urus’ heart, but it’s only a guess.

Yesterday we told you that Lamborghini’ s SUV had an official name: Urus. Today we have more exciting news, as the photos of the car have just leaked. 

Built with loads of carbon fiber, low-profile performance tires and tight gearing ratios, Lamborghini‘s newest transportation costs €20,000 or roughly $26,300, which is close to the soon-to-be-released Scion FR-S.

While you’re not likely to put much track time in unless you live near a velodrome, the newest offering bares the Lambo badge on its front and has a sleek exterior ready for speed.

This morning we reported that the new Lamborghini SUV will be named the Urus. Hours later, Lambo released a teaser image (if you can call it that) of the SUV ahead of the scheduled Beijing Motor Show debut. 

The new Lamborghini SUV is set to be revealed next week at the Beijing motor show, and the name on the luxury sport utility vehicle will apparently be “Urus.”

Details first emerged yesterday that a Lamborghini Aventador burnt to a crisp on a Southern California freeway, and now there’s video.

According to reports the car was on a test drive when from a local dealership when the fire began somewhere near the driver’s side rear tire – the Aventador being a mid-engine machine, much of the vehicle’s heat is generated in that area.

The $376,000 V12-powered supercar pulled over on California 73 South, and despite efforts by local fire crews, it burn completely, all the way down to the carbon fiber chassis.

Take the Murcielago LP670-4 Super Veloce (SV) for instance. This car was the last hurrah for the aging Murcielago model, which had been in production for about 8-years.

Only a little more than a week ahead of the upcoming Beijing Auto Show, Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann disclosed new development details on its upcoming SUV.

Speaking to German newspaper Handelsblatt, Winkelmann revealed Lamborghini’s goal to have an SUV as a new third model to diversify the Lamborghini line-up as soon as 2017. Suffering losses (as most supercar brands do) since 2009, Lamborghini is under pressure from parent company Volkswagen to become a profitable asset.

Lamborghini is famous for naming cars after fighting bulls, but that might be changing as today it was announced that the automaker has tradmarked the name “Deimos” for a future product. 

As more and more automakers embrace social media marketing, Lamborghini has opted for a more intimate approach, inviting select clientele to attend a special New York City preview event to gain feedback for a potential third model for the Lamborghini line-up.

Especially good at making the rich part with extra money is the German tuner Mansory, which has modified just about every exotic car in the market, including the Bugatti Veyron. However, some of their work has been a bit tasteless and gaudy.

It’s too bad that even though David Beckham could make enough money to purchase a fine collection of luxury and sports cars, he could never find the time to enjoy them.

Without seeing the images, the idea of a matte green Lamborghini Aventador sounded awful to us. But after seeing images, we’re impressed by how fitting the flat Army green shade looks on the Italian super car.

What does Batman drive when the batmobile is in the shop? It turns out the caped crusader makes due with a Lamborghini to fight the forces of evil and pick up his dry cleaning.

An alert and amused driver caught Batman in action on video, as he took his black Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder for a spin in Maryland. Later, another person took a picture of Batman having a tête-à-tête with some other crime fighters (no, it wasn’t with his fellow Super Friends, it was with the police). The officers stopped superhero because his license plate was missing.

You don’t get much more extreme than a completely open top Lamborghini Aventador. And as far as cars go you don’t get much more expensive than $2.1 million.

Lamborghini knows how to steal the show. The exotic Italian automaker’s standard production models are always enough to grab headlines, but this very custom one-off “speedster”, unveiled today at the Geneva Motor Show, is beyond wild.

Rumors of an Aventador Roaster debut at the Geneva Motor Show failed to live up to the inventive minds at Lamborghini.

Lamborghini has just released a teaser video for one of its exciting new models set to debut at next week’s Geneva Motor Show. It’s already believed Lambo will show off the Aventador Roadster, but rumors of a second car, now named the Unica, are confirmed with this teaser.

While Lambo’s alphanumeric designations always give a strong hint at the engine a car will use, the Italian automaker also drops hints when using conventional names. The term “unica” means “a unique example of specimen.” Early rumors indicated that Lambo’s second debut in Geneva could be a production version of the Sesto Elemento, an ultra light weight carbon-chassis version of the Gallardo. That now seems likely. The original car was designed as a track-only special, however, with this video showcasing the car on the street, we have to think the Unica will essentially be a street legal Gallardo race car.

Usually our spy photos feature the latest secrets coming out of the auto industry, but one of our photographers happened to get some great shots of a Lamborghini Aventador crashing into a snow drift. 

Lamborghini had a great 2011, and is hoping that the sales number from last year are a sign of things to come. 

When Richard Hammond test drove the Lamborghini Aventador on Top Gear, he explained, “In the old days, the order of priority for Lamborghini was top speed, acceleration, and handling– in that order. The thing is though, for this new car, the order is the other way around. Handling comes first and top speed is given a lower priority.” Unfortunately, some Aventador owners did not receive the memo.

Just a week ahead of its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show, we have the first, admittedly not great, spy photos of the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster.

The latest attraction at Walt Disney World isn’t based on a cartoon character, nor is it made of animatronics. It will, however, bring out the kid in you – in an adult sort of way. And the best part? It’s shiny, Italian and can go 200 mph.

Designed as the ultimate attraction for adults at Disney, the Exotic Driving Experience can get you behind the wheel of a pricey German or Italian sports car starting at as little as just $199. The “ride” is an addition to the long-standing Richard Petty Driving Experience, and is held at the Walt Disney World Speedway – though only makes partial use of the banked tri-oval. Using one of those banked bends, the rest of the course makes use of a large-scale, though rather technical, slalom running through the track’s infield.

Leaked photos and believable rumors of a Beijing Motor Show debut for Lambo’s upcoming SUV and now this: a name. According to at least one report, the successor to the LM002 will be called the MLC – or at least the concept will wear that badge.

While a number of exotic and luxury car manufacturers are adopting smaller displacement motors and utilizing turbochargers to maintain or increase power levels while boosting fuel efficiency, Lamborghini has said it has no plans to adopt such a strategy at least for now.

If you’ve seen the cult classic Ferris Bueller’s Day Off you should know that nothing good ever comes of keeping a car still while revving the engine.

A long while back, Italian exotic automaker Lamborghini made a bold claim that it would have something new for every major auto show. And now reports are coming in that Lamborghini will not just have one, but two debuts at the upcoming 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

Nothing probably irks us more than a bunch of people driving recklessly on the highway, but seeing a fleet of Lamborghinis doing it really makes us shake our heads. From the moment the video starts rolling, we’re anticipating disaster and of course it doesn’t fail to deliver.

It appears that this high speed freeway run took place out in Taiwan, and we don’t feel sorry one bit for the owner considering how many people these drivers also put at risk. Nonetheless, the Gallardo loses control and wrecks on the freeway causing quite a bit of damage to its front end and possibly more. Hopefully no one was hurt in the making of this video.
