The ‘Ring now has a new record holder: the Honda Civic Type-R.

  Porsche may be attempting to lap the Nurburgring in under 6 minutes and 11 seconds with its 919 Evo. 

The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 has recorded a Nurburgring lap time of 7:21.23, the fastest ever for a sedan.

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is now the fastest production SUV around the Nurburgring, recording a lap time of 7:51.7, which is eight seconds faster than the previous record holder.

Subaru has managed to set a Nurburgring lap time, although it was done with a special build that can’t be considered a production car.

The regular ZL1 may have laid down a 7:29.60 through Green Hell late last year, but now Chevrolet is looking to wipe the grin off the faces of the elite European brands with the supercar shaming ZL1 1LE.

The street-legal McLaren P1 LM has set a new Nurburgring record.
