Patent office design illustrations that give away the shape and contours of the Infiniti Emerg-E concept leaked today, showing us more than we expected to get before the 2012 Geneva Motor Show on March 6.

Infiniti dropped a teaser video and photos a little more than a week ago to get us excited for their Emerg-E concept, which will be the brand’s first range-extended car featuring what they refer to as “vivid performance,” and zero emissions capability.

It will feature a 1.2-liter mid-mounted gasoline engine, placed to offer optimal weight distribution. Few further details are available on the car now, but we’ll be in Geneva reporting on the details as they emerge. Head back to our previous post to watch the teaser footage.
