The Fiat 500 model can finally claim that it gets an EPA estimated 40-mpg on the highway, thanks to its 2013 model year tweaks.

The manual transmission-equipped 2012 Fiat 500 was rated at 30-mpg city, 38-mpg highway while the new-and-improved 2013 Fiat 500 with a manual transmission gets 31-mpg city, 40-mpg highway. The bump in fuel economy is attributed to a taller final-drive gear ratio and improved aerodynamics. The automatic transmission-equipped 500s are still rated at the same 27-mpg city, 34-mpg highway.

As for the 2013 Fiat 500T with 135-hp, buyers can expect to get 28-mpg in the city and 34-mpg on the highway.

this car gets great mileage but you cant drive it aggressively...i get 650 kms per tank...but i dont exceed 120 km/h and i coast into lights...common sense....but when i push it...it gets only 525 kms a tank.
