Pricing will begin around $40,000 and stretch up to about $60,000, putting the Evoque Plus right under the Range Rover Sport in terms of price. Performance for the new crossover will be geared more towards on road performance than off road.

The Evque Plus is also said to be getting an electric powertrain, making it Range Rover’s first full EV. A small turbocharged four-cylinder and a larger supercharged V6 are both expected to be available.

The new model will launch sometime near the end of 2016.
