Lotus Teases New Sports Car in Fun Twitter Campaign

Lotus is having some fun on twitter.

The British brand is teasing a new sports car that it will show at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed, taking place June 26 – 28. The car is almost certainly the new 3-Eleven, a track-focused version of the Exige sports car.

The brand has taken to twitter to show the car’s journey to Goodwood, referring to it as “the beast.” Thanks to a large crate, the teaser offers no clues as to what the car will look like, though one of the tweets does give us a taste of what the new car will sound like (scroll down to listen).

We expect the 3-Eleven to use a 3.5-liter Toyota V6 that makes at least 420 hp. A less than three second sprint from 0 to 60 mph is expected, while top speed should sit around 180 mph.
