Mazda has been steadily updating its model lineup with a focus on fuel efficiency and now we’ll see the family friendly, all-new CX-9 in just a few short weeks.

Mazda says that this CX-9 will incorporate the latest of its fuel efficient Skyactiv technologies, and will sport the same good looking Kodo design that is found through out the Japanese automakers model range. Mazda also hints that the CX-9 will have feature more premium touches, something that is fitting of a three row midsized crossover.

Along with the news of the CX-9’s debut, Mazda released this sketch, which is clearly inspired by the Koeru concept that debuted earlier this year at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Still we don’t have any idea what will power the crossover or what kind of interior the CX-9 will have, but if the latest Mazda models are any indication, it could be one of the prettiest and fun to drive three-row crossovers on the market.
