Tesla Offering $1,000 Off a Model S or Model X for Referrals
Tesla is offering potential customers $1,000 off the price of a new Model X or Model S just for being referred to the brand by an existing owner.
The program began on May 30 and will run until July 15, 2015. Tesla is offering a number of benefits to existing owners for making referrals, with the first reward, a Moab weekender bag that matches their interior, coming after two referrals.
Owners who have three qualifying referrals will receive a Tesla owner’s jacket, while four referrals will get you a trip for two to the Gigafactory for the opening event at the end of July. Finally, after five referrals Tesla will send you a set of custom 21-inch forged-aluminum Arachnid wheels wrapped in summer performance tires.
Every single referral also enters the owner into a draw for a new Ludicrous P90D Model X. Five referrals is the maximum number accepted.

Tesla says it is operating the program in “good faith” for its customers and it will be on the lookout for anyone they believe to be commercializing or selling referral codes. These people’s referrals will not be honored, though Tesla did point out that it can cover every single “nefarious scenario.”
