Oops! Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Breaks Cover Ahead of Debut

Images of the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 have surfaced ahead of the car’s official debut on November 12.

It appears the new Corvette ZR1 will grace the cover of Car and Driver, and CorvetteBlogger.com has somehow managed to get its hands on it. Based on the story in Car and Driver, the Corvette ZR1 is powered by an LT5 engine providing 750 horsepower and 680 pound-feet of torque, with the American automaker claiming a top speed of over 210 mph. The publication estimates it will cost around $120,000, but official pricing information has not been revealed.

Chevrolet has begun teasing the car’s debut on social media, posting the video seen below on its Facebook page while confirming the November 12 unveiling. That means the supercar will make its world premiere at the 2017 Dubai Motor Show before bowing in the U.S. for the first time at the 2017 L.A. Auto Show.

Expect more details on the new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 to spill out in the coming days.

    will GM seek litigation against said corvetteblogger as I'm sure there is some sort of embargo on the release of pictures/details about the new ZR1 from sources other than GM?...proof that the $100k sports car market is alive and kickin' as the selection in the $100k-150k sports car segment is quite numerous. Guess this is why Nissan let their Z-car struggle on for 8 years...
