The redesigned and updated 2019 Chevrolet Silverado has been spied testing ahead of its debut sometime next year.

These spy images show more of the Silverado’s more curvaceous bodywork than previous photos, giving us a good look at the new styling line that jets down the sides of the truck. Overall, this redesign makes the Silverado look a bit more svelte than the current boxier version of the truck, but it still retains its recognizable Chevy shape.

The biggest changes that will occur with the updated Silverado will be in regards to the powertrain. A new V6 diesel engine has already been confirmed, and the 10-speed automatic transmission currently found in the Camaro ZL1 is expected to replace the eight-speed automatic. It may also be considerably lighter thanks to the use of aluminum in the body.

We’re expecting the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado to debut at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January, so stay tuned for more info on the updated pickup.

Still has that ridiculous "nose down" posture. Is this a truck or a "low rider"?

Sure that isn't this years model of Ford? Sure looks like a Ford. But then, GM designers haven't had an original idea since before 1973. Body line swoop down side of door is very Asian. Typical. only way to tell vehicles apart now is their badging.
