2024 Hyundai Elantra Facelift Revealed In South Korea

The South Korean-Market Hyundai Avante facelift could be a preview of our next Elantra.

The Hyundai Elantra hasn’t been out very long, but that doesn’t mean that Hyundai doesn’t want to keep the car fresh. The compact sedan, sold in its home market as the Avante, has been facelifted for the 2024 model year. Is it an upgrade stylistically? Maybe so, some have accused Elantra of being ugly, and the tweaks to the existing design have made things a bit cleaner.

The facelift has toned down the odd-looking front fascia but still kept it in line with other Hyundai vehicles. It appears that the headlights are smaller and set a little lower on the front fascia; they no longer integrate directly into the hood shut line. The egg crate grille is smaller, and the lower valance has a more prominent grille that takes up a bit more real estate on the front bumper. Also, a new light bar spans across the front end of the vehicle, not unlike what we’ve seen on the new Hyundai Kona.

In the back, the taillights look about the same, but the lower bumper portion has been changed. A chrome garnish and painted lower rear valance have made the rear look a bit more expensive compared to the previous car. Otherwise, it appears that the 2024 Hyundai Elantra, or Avante, is about the same as it was before.

There’s no word if there will be any powertrain changes, or if the sporty Elantra N will get these style upgrades. But, we think this new design will likely show up in North America before the end of the year, as a 2024 model year vehicle.
