The Last Chevrolet Camaro Has Been Made
Speaking with Road & Track, a Chevrolet spokesperson confirmed what everyone knew was coming: the last sixth-generation Chevy Camaro has been made, and production ended the week of December 11. Right now, there are no concrete plans for a seventh-generation model. Chevy has said before that this isn’t the end of the Camaro, but from the outside looking in, things aren’t looking good for the model, which has been around in some form since 1967.
Chevy’s statement to R&T was as follows: “Camaro is a passion product. It has developed a fan base across the world and has brought people into Chevrolet dealerships for generations. The sixth generation specifically represented athleticism and composure – exuding confidence on the road and dominance on the track.”
Camaro sales dipped over the last several years, with the Mustang and Challenger continually out-selling their bow tie-clad opponent. Moreover, both Ford and Dodge have made plans for their respective muscle cars to go forward, with the new Mustang already on its way and the next Challenger not far off.
Strangely, a full week after production ended, Chevy hasn’t put out any sort of announcement. Typically, when a model ends production, brands will eulogize, maybe put out a few photos of the last car leaving the production line. Something. Not so with the Camaro- or at least, not yet. Perhaps this means word is coming soon, along with, ideally, some closure if not plans for the future.

the camaro is not done yet. it still has 2024 models. the 2024 is the last of the sixth generation of the camaro. i just read it on the gm.ca website.
Not sorry to see it go. Chevy only has themselves to blame for it's bad sales. Between the awful looks of it, and the lack of utility, it was doomed. And now the Mustang is alone.
