Jaguar F-Type Coupe Patent Filing Debunked

Last week, renderings from a patent filing were believed to be showing the Jaguar F-Type coupe, but the British automaker has confirmed that those renders are the ones filed for the original C-X16 concept.

The images leaked were originally filed for patent before the C-X16 concept debuted at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.

So it might be a little premature to get excited about an F-Type coupe offering. One thing is for sure though, the F-Type convertible shares plenty with the C-X16 concept, so if an F-Type coupe is to surface, we reckon it’ll closely resemble the C-X16 concept.
