This year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance will play host to the North American debut of the Infiniti Emerg-E Concept. The Japanese automaker will also bring its LE Concept that we first saw at the New York International Auto Show.

The Chevrolet Volt and Nissan Leaf initiated a whole new movement in the auto industry. With the realization that an all-electric vehicle can be useful in everyday driving situations thanks to a large battery and more efficient fast charging technology, automakers are hopping on the electric vehicle bandwagon.

The Infiniti Emerg-E debuted earlier this year at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, capturing the world’s attention with a mid-mounted driveline and a pair of electric motors. 

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is investigating 2013 Infiniti JX35 models after two cases were reported of the intelligent braking system stopping the vehicle when there was no collision imminent. 

Infiniti has enjoyed immense success over the years, particularly with its G model lineup, but the Japanese automaker is still mulling over a new flagship model for the luxury brand.

It’s been years since Mitsubishi offered a luxury sedan, but the Japanese automaker has just brought back its Proudia and Dignity monikers, offering two luxury sedan models over in Japan. 

When Infiniti announced the Sebastian Vettel FX Edition, we couldn’t blame automotive enthusiasts for scratching their heads over why the Japanese automaker would leverage its Formula One champion with a special edition SUV rather than a sports car.

Infiniti announced today that the M35h GT, a cheaper version of its high-end hybrid sedan, will be available in U.K. showrooms this month.

The Infiniti Emerg-e debuted as a concept at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, and now the fully functional version of the car is being shown off at the Goodwood festival of speed, where it will tackle the famous hill-climb.

Infiniti is heavily invested in Red Bull racing, and is looking into producing a car that solidifies that link, more so then the companies existing line of F tuned vehicles. 

Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, Infiniti’s high-tech Emerg-e sports car certainly looked fast, and the claimed performance numbers are impressive, but does it live up the hype in the real world?

Infiniti isn’t just leveraging its relationship with Red Bull Racing by utilizing Sebastian Vettel; the Japanese automaker teamed up with Red Bull Racing’s Mark Webber for another viral video.

Prior to the 2012 Formula One Canadian Grand Prix, Webber gave Red Bull Air Force and skydiver Jon DeVore some driving tips on the track in an Infiniti G37S while DeVore gave Webber the rundown of what it’s like to freefall in a wind tunnel. But the highlight of the event was when they both were pitted against one another in one unique race.

Down on the ground, Webber was strapped into the G37S and was to complete a lap at high speed while DeVore would skydive out of a helicopter. The goal was to see who would cover the same distance the fastest.

This is the second of Infiniti’s ‘Inspired Performers’ series videos and we’re excited to see what they have in the works for future installments.

“I’ve tried a lot of adventure sports but the skill it takes to do a skydive takes it to a whole new level. Jon was a great tutor and he turned out to be a pretty handy driver too,” Mark Webber said.

Driving an Infiniti IPL G Coupe, F1 star Sebastian Vettel set tires smoking and caught some serious speed racing around the New Jersey roads that will mark the Grand Prix of America course in 2013. 

Regarded as a simplified and comprehensive car scoring site, TotalCarScore.com released its list of the “Top 10 Best Car Brands” for 2012 today.

Infiniti has released information on its 2013 model lineup, and notably missing from its list of vehicles is the G25 sedan, which debuted less than two years ago.

Infiniti has announced pricing for its G37 coupe, as well as the performance oriented IPL G coupe, and it looks like there’s going to be a price hike across the board for 2013.

We knew that Nissan was working on an Infiniti compact, but we just didn’t know when it would reach production. It’s all cleared up today as the Japanese automaker has confirmed that its Infiniti Compact will enter production in 2014.

Nissan is planning to significantly increase its electric car offering over the next three years, introducing three all-new models and an updated version of the original Leaf EV.

Infiniti appears to have some impressive products in its pipeline, including a next-generation G powered by a twin-turbo V6 with 530 hp.

Watch out Tesla. Step aside Fisker. With the reveal of the LE Concept at the NY Auto Show this week Infiniti has confirmed it is preparing to enter the luxury electric car segment.

The powerful Japanese Yen is pushing Nissan to make some tough decisions, and Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn announced that Infiniti production will be moving out of Japan.

It may have been rumored as a rebadged Nissan Leaf, but Infiniti’s new electric car concept is unique, luxurious and innovative.

Unveiled today at the New York International Auto Show the Infiniti LE Concept is referred to as a “production intent” vehicle says Infiniti of the Americas Vice President Ben Poore, with plans to have a model in dealerships in two years.

Infiniti doesn’t say exactly what LE stands for, and while “Luxury Electric” comes to mind, so does the brand’s ownership by French automaker Renault.

“Infiniti believes the future of luxury is sustainable luxury and we intend to continue taking a leadership role, building on the foundation set by our advanced Infiniti M Hybrid and high-mpg Infiniti JX luxury crossover,” says Poore. As a result, the Le Concept offers a premium interior, stylish exterior, a powerful motor and some impressive new technology.

Infiniti is looking to broaden its model range in order to penetrate new vehicle segments. At the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, the Emerg-E debuted and now the Japanese luxury automaker is considering bringing it to production.

Now available on YouTube and Facebook, the performance, choreographed by Cirque du Soleil’s Special Events team, featured an Infiniti JX crossover suspended in the air with with nine acrobats.

On sale this month, Infiniti’s full-size, seven-seat premium crossover aims to become the Japanese premium brand’s second best-seller, right behind the G sports sedan line-up. Competing against industry heavyweights like the  Acura MDX and Lexus RX, the JX starts at $40,450 for the front-wheel drive model and $41,550 for the all-wheel drive. Packed with Infiniti’s latest tech features, the JX is available with the world’s first Backup Collision Intervention technology, an eight-inch touchscreen display with XM Nav Traffic, a 15-speaker Bose Cabin Surround sound system, and Infiniti Voice Recognition and Streaming Audio via Bluetooth.
