Watch the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Go Desert Running

We’ve all heard how boss the new Colorado ZR2 will behave, now Chevy wants to show off a bit.

Intended to highlight the Colorado’s trick new suspension bits and heightened capabilities, the new video series drops us into a desert torture test at GM’s Yuma Proving Grounds in Arizona.

The truck’s new Multimatic DSSV dampers, cast iron control arms and 2-inch suspension lift are on display as it hits the high-speed whoops and hammers the desert terrain.

Next, engineers take the ZR2 to Silver Lake, Michigan for a where the sand dunes host a session of deep sand evaluation as the team works to optimize traction management for the Colorado’s chunky new kevlar reinforced off-road tires.

The ZR2 will be GM’s first truly capable off-road vehicle since HUMMER died in 2010, the crazy Colorado is supposed to be such a weapon that even the Kings of the Baja at Hall Racing will take delivery of one shortly.
